 2020

We were lucky enough to secure a brand new car for 2020 – the Mitsubishi Mirage AP4. However, Covid stopped us in our tracks, cancelling the NZ championship. Once the levels decreased we were able to get a few valuable miles in the car and even put a few rally wins on the board.

2019 was a year off to prepare for 2020. We had a last minute call up to drive the AP4 at Otago Rally. A costly puncture took us out of the running but it was a great experience. The year of punctures continued at Canterbury and South Canterbury in the Subaru.

The year finished with a stellar 2nd place finish to Hayden Paddon at Ashley Forest Rally Sprint.

 2015 – 2016

New car! Ex Richard Mason Subaru was another step up in 4WD. This car had a lot more technology to take advantage of. This car was so fun to drive and we were able to set it up to be a very competitive car. Another first of driving for Team Ralliart NZ in their Proto Mirage.

This period in rallying was where I gained elite Ashley Forest Rally Sprint Status being the only person to win 3 consecutive years.

New Codriver! Nicole, sister, decided to jump in the co-drivers seat. Sadly the Skoda’s reliability decreased this year as we battled with development but it was the first year we wrote our own pace notes so a lot to learn!

 2009 – 2010

Lucky enough to be given the opportunity to drive a 2WD Diesel Skoda Fabia in the NZ Rally Championship. Forever grateful to Alan Geddes for giving me the opportunity. It set me up for a great future in rallying.
2009 & 2010 Open 2WD NZ champions

 The Early Years

My first rally car was a RWD Toyota Starlet. I had lots of fun and a few scary moments as I learnt my skill as a driver. I was lucky enough to drive the odd 4WD car that dad had around in some rally sprints which really gave me the taste for speed.
